Last weekend saw 2,000 runners converge on the Great Wall of China for an extraordinary race. And in Copenhagen, the streets were filled with more than 11,000 participants in the annual city marathon. Top Team Össur athlete Oscar Pistorius has achieved a new personal best in the 400m. His time of 45.61 seconds at the recent Provincial Championships in Pretoria, South Africa is inside the ‘B’ qualification standard and something he hopes to build on at the forthcoming BT Paralympic World Cup in Manchester, UK (23-28 May).

New lab donated by Össur to be the nexus of education and production of prosthetics and orthotics in Haiti. Every child who lost a limb in the Haitian earthquake now eligible for a two-year course of free prosthetics and physical therapy.

With less than 100 days to go until the start of the IPC Athletics World Championships, the city of Christchurch in New Zealand is preparing to welcome around 1,200 athletes, plus hundreds of officials and volunteers.
